Sākumā uzbrukumā tika vainots ASIC maineru ražotājs no Ķīnas, kurš it kā veicis jaunu maineru testus, bet pēc neilga laika maininga aparatūras ražotājs Linzhi Shenzhen to noliedza.
Šis uzbrukums vēlreiz apstiprina ne tik populāro kriptovalūtu ievainojamību un nedrošumu pret 51% uzbrukumu. Ethereum Classic tīklā turpinās hešreita fluktuācijas:
